Manzanilla is Sanlúcar’s flor-aged white wine: bone dry, delicate and wonderfully savoury beside the Atlantic.
Very dry and fresh, with chamomile, almond and bread-dough notes and a saline impression.
Dry, deeper and more savoury, with nutty complexity and lingering flor-aged character.
Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda is a protected origin distinct from Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. Palomino wine ages beneath flor in Sanlúcar’s cellar environment, developing its characteristic fresh, yeasty and saline impression. Manzanilla Pasada has more extended biological ageing and a deeper character. Sanlúcar’s special role concerns where the wine ages; its grapes can come from the wider authorised production area. En rama indicates a less heavily clarified bottling, rather than a separate grape or appellation.
Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda DO. 1 wine in Manitoba.
