About Catalonia

Catalonia wine country runs from Mediterranean vineyards to the inland hills and Pyrenean foothills of northeastern Spain. Garnatxa and Carinyena bring warmth, fragrance and structure to Montsant and Empordà; Terra Alta gives Garnatxa Blanca a particularly compelling home. Discover Trepat’s delicate reds and rosés in Conca de Barberà, Picapoll’s white wines in Pla de Bages, or the contrasting vineyard districts of Costers del Segre around Lleida. Tarragona adds Macabeu and a long Mediterranean wine tradition. Catalunya DO connects a broad range of Catalan vineyard areas, while smaller appellations tell more specific stories. Penedès, Priorat and Alella are also part of the wider regional landscape. Explore by named origin, grape and wine style to appreciate the differences behind a shared Catalan identity.
