Valpolicella’s dry dried-grape red: powerful fruit, warmth and slow-building complexity.
Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella.
Dark cherry, dried fruit and spice with a full, warm palate. Mature bottles can develop savoury, earthy and chocolate-like notes.
Grapes are dried before fermentation, concentrating flavour. Amarone is dry or nearly dry, unlike the sweet Recioto made in the same area.
