About Capriano del Colle DOC

Where it grows: On and around Monte Netto, within defined parts of Capriano del Colle, Flero and Poncarale.

Capriano white

Trebbiano di Soave and Trebbiano Toscano are permitted white partners; proportions vary.

Apple, citrus and gentle floral notes with a fresh, dry palate.

Capriano red blend

Marzemino, Merlot, Sangiovese.

Cherry, plum and floral notes with freshness, dry texture and measured tannins.

Capriano del Colle DOC gives this low hill a specific wine identity. Trebbiano varieties contribute to the white wines, while Marzemino, Merlot and Sangiovese shape the red blend. Varietal expressions add further routes through the denomination. The neighbouring Montenetto di Brescia IGT has a different scope and greater flexibility. Read the complete name and colour to distinguish the DOC’s traditions from the wider local wine offering.
