Perricoota offers approachable reds and whites from the Murray River country of southern New South Wales.
Lemony fruit and lively acidity make a fresh white-wine introduction.
Syrah.
Berry fruit with a supple, medium-weight palate and occasional liquorice notes.
Long sunny days and a flat riverine landscape shape this small registered region. Red clay loams support grapes including Chardonnay, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The wines range from fresh, citrus-led whites to generous reds. Perricoota is its own origin: a bottle made nearby or labelled with the broader Murray landscape need not carry this GI.
