Cesanese di Olevano Romano brings fragrant red wines from the hills east of Rome.
Cesanese di Affile, Cesanese Comune.
Cherry, berries and floral spice, with a savoury finish and variable tannic weight.
Cesanese di Olevano Romano DOC can use Cesanese di Affile and/or Cesanese Comune. It belongs to the same broader grape tradition as Piglio and Affile, but remains its own protected origin. Producer choices and wine type influence the balance of fruit, freshness and tannin. The shorter Olevano Romano name is an alternative designation for the same DOC.
