Ehrenhausen highlights Sauvignon Blanc and Morillon from limestone-rich southern Styrian hills.
Chardonnay.
Orchard fruit and citrus with a textured, savoury palate; the influence of oak varies.
Ehrenhausen is a delimited village-wine origin within Südsteiermark DAC, rather than simply the administrative town boundary. Sauvignon Blanc and Morillon, the local name for Chardonnay, are its leading varieties. Limestone and calcareous marl are important vineyard settings. Compare the producer, vineyard and maturation for differences in texture and intensity within this hillside origin.
