Catalunya DO offers a broad Catalan wine journey, bringing local grapes and modern blends together across many vineyard landscapes.
Grenache.
Red berries, ripe cherry and spice with a rounded, dry palate.
Macabeo, Xarel-lo.
Apple, citrus and herbal notes with freshness and gentle texture.
Catalunya is both the Catalan name for the wider region and the name of this protected wine origin. The DO draws on a broad range of vineyard areas and grape varieties, allowing producers to work with local and international grapes. Garnatxa and Tempranillo give approachable red-wine routes, while Macabeu and Xarel·lo introduce familiar Catalan whites. A more specific vineyard location can add detail to the broad label. Catalunya DO is one appellation within Catalonia, rather than an umbrella replacing all its other DOs.
