Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa explores the Reggio hills through Spergola whites, Lambrusco reds and a varied local grape heritage.
Spergola.
Apple, citrus and floral notes with fresh acidity and a gentle prickle; sweetness varies.
Lambrusco-family varieties vary by named wine type.
Red and dark berries with gentle bubbles, fresh acidity and tannic grip; sweetness varies.
This DOC combines different colours and wine types rather than one fixed blend. Spergola gives a distinctive white-wine route, including fresh wines with bubbles, while Lambrusco-family reds bring a contrasting local tradition. Other permitted grapes add further variety. Read frizzante and spumante wording alongside the named grape, because gentle prickle and fully sparkling wine describe different experiences. Sweetness also varies by bottle.
