Kilkis offers a wider geographical route into the vineyards around Goumenissa and Mount Paiko.
Kilkis is a district guide rather than another name for Goumenissa PDO. The Goumenissa area is particularly associated with Xinomavro and Negoska, while PGI Slopes of Paiko permits a broader grape range. These protected names describe more precise origins within the landscape. Check the full wine label before assigning a local winery’s whole range to one designation.
