Erbach reveals another Rhine-side Rheingau perspective, with Riesling and Pinot Noir among its documented vineyard grapes.
Citrus, apple and stone fruit with fresh acidity; sweetness varies.
Pinot Noir.
Red cherry, berries and gentle spice with freshness and fine tannins.
Erbach here means the Rheingau wine village, not the similarly named locality in the Hessische Bergstrasse. Vineyard names help make that geographical distinction clear. Erbacher Michelmark documents both Riesling and Spätburgunder, while other local sites add their own settings. Wine type, sweetness and producer matter as much as the shared village name. Explore a named vineyard for a more precise origin than a town-level guide can provide.
