Pinot Noir
Alsace’s lively traditional-method bubbles, from crisp white to berry-scented rosé.
Pinot Blanc is a mainstay; Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris are other possible grapes.
Apple, citrus and fine bubbles, with toasted or brioche-like depth in longer-aged wines.
Pinot Noir.
Fresh strawberry, red berries and lively bubbles with a dry or gently rounded finish.
Pinot Noir.
White sparkling wine from dark-skinned Pinot Noir, with orchard fruit and a little extra body.
Crémant d’Alsace is sparkling wine made by a second fermentation in bottle. Whites may use several permitted grapes; rosé uses Pinot Noir alone. Dosage and time on lees help explain the style.
