Aconcagua Valley connects Chile’s inland red-wine heartland with cooler sites nearer the Pacific.
A structured red style with dark and red fruit, fine tannins and, where used, oak spice; vineyard and vintage influence ripeness.
A red expression ranging from ripe berry fruit to fresher peppery notes as growing conditions become cooler.
The Aconcagua Valley is a subregion within the broader Aconcagua wine region. Warmer inland vineyards are closely associated with Cabernet Sauvignon, while Syrah and other grapes add variety. Coastal influences become more important towards the ocean. Casablanca and San Antonio are separate subregions, not smaller names within this valley. Use the full valley and vineyard information to distinguish an inland red from a cooler coastal expression.
