Valle del Crati IGT is an older wine name connected with northern Calabria’s Terre di Cosenza story.
The historical Valle del Crati IGT was revoked with Terre di Cosenza DOC in 2011. The contemporary DOC subzone is named Colline del Crati, so the change is more than adding DOC to the old wording. Older bottles and newer labels should be read in their own vintage and designation context. Both names lead into the Crati landscape without defining parallel current IGTs.
