Tuniberg offers a compact Baden wine journey, with Pinot-family wines from a low hill rising above the Rhine plain.
Pinot Noir.
Cherry, red berries and savoury detail with freshness and fine tannins.
Pinot Blanc.
Apple, pear and citrus with a fresh, dry palate and gentle texture.
Tuniberg is a separate wine district within Baden, despite its proximity to Kaiserstuhl. Its limestone-based hill and loess-covered vineyard settings differ from the neighbouring volcanic landscape. Spätburgunder and white Pinot varieties give useful entry points. Local slopes and producer choices create further variation within the district. Follow the named village or vineyard when available to bring this small hill-country origin into closer focus.
