Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh opens the white-wine side of Madiran’s foothill landscape, with fragrant sweet wines and a separate dry expression.
Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Petit Courbu.
Ripe apricot, citrus peel and honeyed notes with sweetness and bright acidity.
Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh without Sec identifies the sweet-white tradition, while the Sec wording marks dry wines. Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng and Courbu-family grapes provide a distinctive local palette, with other permitted varieties adding range. Late-season grape ripening helps shape the sweeter expressions. The name is a wine origin rather than a grape. Read the dry or sweet indication first, then compare the producer’s blend and harvest approach.
