Hudson River Region offers New York wines from a long-settled river-valley vineyard landscape.
Dark berry fruit and bright acidity with a savoury red-wine finish.
Fresh citrus and orchard fruit with a crisp white-wine palate.
Hudson River Region is an established AVA and a more specific term than the whole Hudson Valley. The area includes a broad mix of vinifera and hybrid grapes suited to different sites. Baco Noir and Seyval Blanc provide useful introductions to that diversity. The river-valley name does not impose one grape or wine style, so compare the complete label and producer.
