Mondéjar offers a smaller Castilla-La Mancha wine discovery, with Tempranillo reds and aromatic white varieties.
Cherry and berry fruit with a dry, savoury red-wine finish.
Malvar, Macabeo.
Orchard fruit and gentle floral notes; the blend shapes the texture.
Mondéjar DO belongs to Guadalajara rather than the central La Mancha plain. Tempranillo leads a useful red-wine trail, while Malvar, Macabeo and the locally named Torrontés add white-wine alternatives. Do not assume that the Torrontés name identifies an Argentine grape or style. Follow the complete wine label and producer for this inland Spanish origin.
