Terras do Dão offers a wider central Portuguese origin alongside the more tightly defined Dão and Lafões wines.
Terras do Dão is a PGI with a different production framework from Dão DOC and Lafões DOC. It also recognises Terras de Lafões as a complementary subregional indication. White, red, rosé and sparkling possibilities broaden the wine journey. The name does not guarantee a particular Dão blend, so grape, producer and wine type remain useful guides.
