Provincia di Pavia offers a broad wine identity for Pavia province, with many grapes and styles beyond its better-known individual denominations.
Pinot Gris.
Pear, apple and citrus with freshness and gentle texture.
Cherry, plum and spice with fresh acidity and a dry palate.
Provincia di Pavia IGT provides a flexible framework for white, red and rosé wines and permitted grape-led expressions. Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay offer white-wine routes, while Barbera and Croatina connect with familiar Oltrepò traditions. The province-wide name differs from the area’s narrower DOC and DOCG identities. Read the grape and wine type to understand the bottle rather than assuming a particular blend, level of sweetness or method from the broad origin alone.
