Palizzi offers red and rosé wines from Calabria’s southern Ionian-facing landscape.
Palizzi IGT covers a wider area than the village itself, taking in several southern Calabrian communes. It focuses on red and rosé wines, with more than one permitted grape available to producers. The full designation, blend and maturation explain a bottle more clearly than assuming one local recipe. This is a distinct origin alongside neighbouring Locride and Pellaro.
