Markus Huber is a family-owned estate in Reichersdorf in Austria’s Traisental valley, led by tenth-generation winemaker Markus Huber, who took over in 2000 and personally oversees vineyard and cellar work. The winery focuses on terroir-driven wines from individual parcels, including Premier Cru sites recognized by Österreichische Traditionsweingüter (ÖTW), with old vineyards on loess, limestone and clay-rich soils. Farming is organically certified and guided by broader sustainability measures, including Sustainable Austria certification, biodynamic and regenerative practices, solar power, estate water supply and woodchip heating. The style is defined by origin, aiming for wines that are elegant, mineral, precise and complex.
