Dislivelli is a family-owned estate in Lombardy founded by architect Piero Ioli, who remains its owner and winemaker. Working across the historic Sassella, Grumello and Inferno crus, the estate farms steep alpine terraces by hand using natural, biodynamic and no-till regenerative practices, with a strong focus on biodiversity and soil health. Its Nebbiolo, known locally as Chiavennasca, grows in fractured schist, exposed rock and shallow gravelly soils. Winemaking is deliberately minimal: spontaneous whole-berry fermentation in clay amphorae, extended maceration and underground amphora aging, without additives. The resulting wines are intended to express their distinctive mountain terroir with an ethereal, complex style.
