Founded in 1984 by Angela and Ercole Velenosi and still principally owned by Angela Velenosi, Velenosi works across Marche and Abruzzo, with vineyards in Controguerra on south to southeast-facing slopes shaped by clay-rich sedimentary soils and Adriatic-Apennine influences. Since 2005, Paolo Garbini has joined the estate’s leadership, while Attilio Pagli contributes as consulting winemaker. The winery describes its philosophy through tradition, sincerity, passion, and continual research for balance, combining artisan practice with modern technology to interpret the Piceno territory. Velenosi also highlights sustainability, with Equalitas and IFS certifications noted, and supports social initiatives such as projects with Orto di Paolo.
