Weingut Schäfer-Fröhlich is a family-owned estate in the Nahe with more than 200 years of winemaking history, now led by Tim Fröhlich with his wife Nicole, alongside Meike and Mats Genheimer. A member of VDP Nahe and certified by FAIR'N GREEN, the estate emphasizes comprehensive sustainability in both vineyard and winery work. Its focus is on Riesling, with some Burgundy varieties, grown in steep, demanding Nahe sites including several VDP.GROSSE LAGEN. Across volcanic, slate, quartzite and conglomerate soils, the wines are shaped by old vines, rocky slopes and long ripening, resulting in terroir-driven, mineral styles marked by finesse, spice, purity and salty complexity.
