Pierre Moncuit

France

Champagne Pierre Moncuit is a family-run house in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, founded in 1889 and still led by the Moncuit family, with Nicole, Yves and Valérie carrying a five-generation lineage. The domaine is closely identified with Chardonnay and the Grand Cru terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, especially Le Mesnil, with an additional clos in Vertus. Nicole shaped the house style from the 1980s as one of Champagne’s rare female winemakers, focused on terroir, vintage expression and parcel-by-parcel precision. Farming is described as sustainable, with organic certification noted in some sources, no pesticides or herbicides, and hand-harvested fruit. In the cellar, the wines are made without wood, often with malolactic fermentation, and aged for extended periods to preserve purity and nuance.
