Tarima is the family-run label of Bodegas Volver, owned by the Cañizares family and based in Spain’s Cuenca and Alicante regions. Fourth-generation vintner Rafael Cañizares works alongside his daughter Sofia, bringing a multigenerational approach to the wines. The vineyards lie around Pinoso, Salinas, El Maña and Monover at 650–750 metres, on shallow, calcareous soils and are farmed traditionally without irrigation, with low yields. Vines range from 50 to 90 years old, including old Moscatel. The approach is low-intervention and adapted to natural conditions, with an environmental award for the Alicante operation; no formal organic or biodynamic certifications are cited.
