Producer

Moric

Hungary

Founded by Roland Velich in 2001 and independent since 2002, Moric is owner-led, with Velich serving as project leader and winemaker. The producer works vineyards in Mittelburgenland and on the Leithagebirge through long-term leases and agreements with local growers, including Blaufränkisch vines approximately 40 to over 100 years old. Viticulture is meticulous and biodynamic, while winemaking follows traditional, deliberately primitive methods, with obsessive grape sorting. The focus is firmly on site, old vines, and hands-on craftsmanship.
