Méo-Camuzet

France

Domaine Méo-Camuzet is a family-owned estate in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy, passed down from Etienne Camuzet through Maria Noirot-Camuzet and Jean Méo to Jean-Nicolas Méo, who was mentored by Henri Jayer. The domaine works prestigious Burgundian climats with a small team and a clear focus on terroir expression. Farming follows organic practices without certification, with manual vineyard work, ploughing, horse use in difficult areas, and synthetic treatments only as a last resort. In the cellar, the approach is measured and low-intervention: careful hand harvesting and sorting, gentle extraction, natural fermentations, controlled but significant new oak, and bottling by gravity, generally without fining or filtration. The wines aim to balance structure and finesse, concentration and charm, while reflecting both site and vintage.
