Les Bêtes Curieuses is a boutique Muscadet project in the Loire Valley, bringing together the Huchet family’s vineyards in Château-Thébaud and the Mourat family’s holdings in Vendée. Jérémie Huchet and Jérémie Mourat manage the joint venture, with Damien Rineau overseeing the Gorges cuvée. Working across approximately 5.4 hectares and five communal crus, they farm sustainably with organic-focused practices, herbal weed control, native yeasts and no chemical weedkillers or fertilizers. Several parcels are certified organic, while others are converting. Production is limited and centered on terroir-specific, single-cru wines released when the team considers them ready.
