Journey's End

South Africa

Journey’s End is a family-owned boutique estate in Stellenbosch, established by the Gabb family in 1996 and now operating under the Gabb Family Wines banner. Its vineyards lie in Somerset West, among the Schapenberg hills, with coastal breezes from False Bay and the Atlantic lending freshness and elegance to the wines. The estate farms organically and biodynamically, using cover crops, natural pest management and regenerative practices. South Africa’s first B Corp-certified winery, it operates off-grid on solar power and incorporates rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling and wildlife habitats. Winemaker Mike Dawson follows a minimalist-intervention approach, producing bright, clean, fruit-driven estate wines with careful fruit selection.
