J&J Archambaud

France

J&J Archambaud is a family-owned Vosne-Romanée estate in Burgundy, rooted in a domaine established in 1946 and now run by third-generation brothers Jean-Philippe and Jean-Christophe Archambaud. Farming is fully organic with ECOCERT certification, with biodynamic practices and Demeter certification as a stated goal. The estate works prized Pinot Noir parcels in Vosne-Romanée, including Echezeaux Grand Cru and Les Petits Monts Premier Cru, on limestone and clay soils. Vineyard work includes manual harvests, soil cultivation and, on some plots, horse ploughing. In the cellar, the approach is traditional and precise: partial whole-cluster fermentation, gravity handling, minimal sulphites, restrained new oak, long élevage, and bottling without fining or filtration.
