Quinta das Maias

Portugal

Quinta das Maias is a family-owned estate in Beira, in the foothills of the Serra da Estrela. Owned by the Lourenço family since 1997 and run as a father-son operation, the estate has a personal, hands-on character. Its vineyards lie on mountainous granite soils and are certified organic, with regenerative farming reflecting a clear commitment to sustainability. The focus is on environmentally responsible, low-quantity production rather than scale, highlighting an artisanal approach rooted in family stewardship.
