Producer

Fossil & Fawn

United States

Fossil & Fawn is a boutique producer in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, owned and operated by Jim Fischer and Jenny Mosbacher, who also make the wines. Their approach points to a hands-on, minimal-intervention style, with fruit sourced from dry-farmed, own-rooted organic vines dating back to the 1970s. The Do Nothing red blend is made with whole-cluster carbonic maceration, raised partly in stainless steel and old French oak, and bottled without fining or filtration. No formal sustainability certifications are listed, but the organic farming practices and personal ownership suggest a small, artisanal operation.
