Filep is a small, family-run winery in Tokaj, founded in 2013 by Miklós Filep and his son, Miklós Gergely Filep, who leads the winemaking. The family farms 2.2 hectares in Tállya and Rátka, where 75–105-year-old vines grow in volcanic tuff soils rich in rhyolite, zeolite and bentonite. Sustainable and, for some wines, organic vineyard practices accompany a low-intervention approach that seeks to express Tokaj’s historic terroir. The estate focuses on dry whites from traditional varieties Furmint and Hárslevelű, marked by high acidity and minerality.
