Fattoria Ispoli is a family-run estate in Tuscany, acquired in 1988 by German wine merchant Bernd Mattheis and Heide Pöhler and now operated with their children and families. Set at around 300 metres elevation and surrounded by woodland, it includes vineyards and olive groves. The estate pioneered certified organic farming in the 1980s, with naturally grassed soils and low-input treatments limited to copper, sulfur, orange essential oils and bicarbonate. Francesco Palombi serves as full-time winemaker and project manager, with Cristiano Castagno also associated with the estate.
