Fattoria di Petrognano

Italy

Fattoria di Petrognano is a Pellegrini family estate in Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany, owned by the family since 1963 and now led by the fourth generation. Its vineyards focus on Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano and Canaiolo, with limited Syrah and Merlot, and the winery has been certified organic since 2017. Sustainable farming and Animavitis® precision viticulture guide soil analysis, parcel-specific work and harvesting by zone, while applied research explores new approaches to vineyard management. The wines are intended to express Petrognano’s clay soils, microclimates and local identity, from traditionally made MEME wines to the small-production Orci wines, fermented and aged in terracotta amphoras linked to Montelupo’s ceramic heritage.
