Etyssa Spumanti is a small Trentodoc producer based in Trento, founded in 2009 by Federico Simoni, Giovanni Grandi, Malcolm Salvadori and Stefano Bolognani. Its vineyards lie on Monte Calisio, generally around 500–600 metres, with Riserva fruit reaching 610 metres; the soils are described as calcareous or dolomitic, rocky and well drained, with basaltic elements. Etyssa focuses on vintage-dated Metodo Classico sparkling wines, releasing one cuvée annually to express each harvest. Its wines are made exclusively from Chardonnay according to the supplied notes, with manual harvesting and élevage involving steel, concrete and wood. The first vintage, 2012, was released as Cuvée N°1 in 2016 after 36 months of ageing. Pellegrini Spa is the exclusive distributor.
