Dominio de la Vega

Spain

Family-owned Dominio de la Vega is based in San Antonio, in Valencia’s Utiel-Requena region, where its vineyards lie on high-plateau clay and limestone soils at 600–900 metres. Founded by local viticultural families and agricultural and winemaking experts, it was involved in the early development of Cava in Requena and remains committed to the native Bobal grape, particularly from old vineyards. Certified organic farming, low-sulphur practices, manual harvesting and careful, low-intervention winemaking reflect a close connection to the land. The winery works parcel by parcel, using gravity-fed handling and extended lees ageing to produce authentic, expressive wines and elegant, complex, long-lived Cavas. Its Reserva Cavas mature for more than 18 months on lees, with limited production and a strong emphasis on sustainability, including lighter packaging and renewable energy.
