Domaine Vacheron

France

Domaine Vacheron is a family-owned Sancerre estate in the Loire Valley, founded around 1900 and now run by fourth-generation cousins Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique Vacheron. Certified organic since 1999 and biodynamic since 2005, the domaine works without synthetic chemicals, using homemade compost, cover crops and hand harvesting. Vineyards span Sancerre’s key soil types, including flint, limestone, caillottes and marl. The wines are made from single-vineyard parcels with indigenous yeasts and bottled unfined, expressing a terroir-driven, low-intervention style.
