Domaine Jérôme Gradassi

France

Domaine Jérôme Gradassi is a family-run estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône Valley, owned and operated by Jérôme Gradassi. The domaine works on a very limited, hands-on scale, with viticulture and winemaking carried out by hand and by gravity rather than modern oenological technology. Grapes are whole-bunch fermented in concrete with indigenous yeasts, followed by a four-week maceration with manual punch-downs, then aged for ten months in neutral oak barrels. The approach emphasizes fruit purity and a traditional, artisanal style. Sustainable farming practices are used, and the estate also employs eco-friendly packaging, though no formal certification is noted.
