Domaine Jean Defaix is a family-run estate in Chablis with around 150 years of heritage. Founded by Daniel Dampt, Jean Defaix’s son-in-law, the domaine is now being taken over by his sons, Vincent and Sébastien, who continue the family tradition in both management and winemaking. Its vineyards produce Petit Chablis, Chablis and Chablis Premier Cru from sites including Côte de Lechet, Vaillons, Les Lys, Beauroy and Fourchaume. The estate’s wines reflect a focused connection to Chablis and its varied Premier Cru sites.
