Quinta do Romeu

Portugal

Quinta do Romeu is a fifth-generation, family-owned estate in the Upper Douro, managed by the Menéres family. Its vineyards have been cultivated organically since 1995 without synthetic pesticides, and the wines are marketed as Organic DOC Douro. Under João Menéres, winemaking follows a minimalist approach, with spontaneous fermentations, limited oak and sparing use of sulfur. The estate produces Port and premium table wines alongside olive oil and cork, reflecting its broader agricultural character.
