Château Valentin

France

Château Valentin is a 14-hectare estate in Margaux, Bordeaux, owned by the Sorge family since 1928. Jean Sorge currently manages the property, with his daughters, led by Christelle Sorge, expected to carry the estate forward. Its vineyards average 30 years of age, with some parcels approaching a century, and are planted at 10,000 vines per hectare. Since 2017, winemaking has been overseen by consultant Hubert de Boüard. The estate’s long family ownership and succession plans give it a distinctly independent, multigenerational character.
