Château Soucherie

France

Château Soucherie is a historic family-owned estate in Anjou, in the Loire Valley, run by the Beguinot family since 2007. Since taking over, Pascale and Roger-François Beguinot have pushed the domaine toward organic farming, with conversion beginning in 2019 and ECOCERT certification achieved in 2022. The vineyards are farmed without herbicides, chemical fertilizers or synthetic products, with manual work in the vines and hand harvesting. The estate focuses on Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, producing dry and sweet wines from appellations including Anjou Blanc, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon and Chaume. Sweet wines are harvested in successive tries from botrytised fruit, while whites are vinified and aged in oak with careful attention to wood origin and élevage.
