Château Moulin-Saint-Georges

France

Château Moulin Saint Georges is a small Saint-Émilion estate in Bordeaux, owned by the Vauthier family since 1921 and now in the fifth generation. Located on limestone-clay slopes in the southern combe of Saint-Émilion, the vineyard is farmed organically and sustainably, with Demeter and Biodyvin certifications and participation in the Growing Tomorrow initiative. The family’s broader philosophy emphasizes vineyard work, lower yields, biodiversity, and minimal intervention in the cellar. Managed by Alain and Pauline Vauthier, with Philippe Baillarguet in the cellar and Laurent Vallet in the vineyard, the estate works parcel by parcel, with manual harvest, traditional fermentation in stainless steel, and élevage in new oak. The wines are led by Merlot with Cabernet Franc, combining power, freshness, and depth.
