Cantina Alice Bel Colle

Italy

Founded in 1955 in Alice Bel Colle, Piedmont, Cantina Alice Bel Colle is a member-owned cooperative rooted in the Alto Monferrato Acquese. Its “cantina diffusa” brings together around 100 local winegrowers, many caring personally for small vineyard holdings. The vineyards lie on white limestone soils and are farmed with low-impact methods including zero pesticide use, cover crops and manual harvesting. The cooperative focuses on Barbera, Moscato and Brachetto, producing both aromatic sweet wines and dry expressions, including Moscato Secco—made for more than ten years before the DOC was established—as well as Metodo Classico and Martinotti sparkling wines. Vineyard selection, microfiltration and ongoing technological investment support a “quality by tradition” philosophy, while the wines aim to express the area’s distinctive aromatic intensity, freshness and structure.
