Producer

Cà du Ferrà

Italy

Founded in 2000 by Antonio Zoppi and Aida Forgione, Cà du Ferrà is a family-run estate in Bonassola, Liguria, where second-generation Davide and Giuseppe Zoppi oversee winemaking and their parents manage the vineyards and agriturismo. Its steep, sea-facing terraces are divided into small parcels and supported by ancient dry-stone walls. The estate farms organically, encourages biodiversity through wild herbs, fruit trees and an apiary, and works with the University of Torino to recover rare local varieties including Ruzzese, Rossese Bianco, Picabon and Albarola Kihlgren. Since becoming an independent producer in 2013, the family has focused on small-scale wines shaped by the light, wind and sea of Bonassola, combining traditional handwork with carefully considered innovation and the guidance of enologist Graziana Grassini.
