Antonelli is a historic family-owned estate in Montefalco, Umbria, held by the Antonelli family since 1883. At the heart of the Montefalco DOCG, it farms certified organic vineyards on clay- and limestone-rich hills with a favorable vine-growing microclimate. The focus is on local varieties, especially Sagrantino and the recently rediscovered Trebbiano Spoletino, with zoning work to highlight differences between vintages and vineyard sites. Only estate-grown grapes are vinified. Led by Filippo Antonelli, the winery follows a traditional, elegant style, favoring gentle extraction and moderate use of oak. The wider farm also produces organic olive oil and other agricultural products, reflecting a broader agricultural vocation.
