Ancarani

Italy

Ancarani is an independent, family-run winery in Oriolo dei Fichi, near Faenza in Romagna, owned and operated by Rita and Claudio Ancarani, who are also the winemakers. Its vineyards lie in the Faenza hills around the historic Rocca di Oriolo, on distinctive golden Pleistocene sands. Certified organic, the estate uses copper, sulfur and biodynamic preparations in the vineyard. Ancarani focuses on native Romagnolo varieties, including Sangiovese, Albana, Centesimino and Famoso, with respect for traditional vines, biodiversity, grape variety and vintage. The wines express a commitment to local identity and careful, respectful winemaking.
